Welcome to the HDM Construction website. By accessing our site and requesting our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Services & Quote Accuracy
Estimates vs. Quotes: All automated or initial price ranges provided through this website are preliminary estimates.
Fixed-Price Policy: A "Fixed-Price Quote" is only finalized after a technical site visit and a signed written agreement. Once a quote is finalized and signed, the price for the defined scope of work will not change unless the customer requests additional services.
2. Site Access & Safety
By requesting a consultation or service, you grant HDM Construction personnel permission to enter the exterior of your property for the purposes of site assessment, measurement, and project execution.
The customer is responsible for ensuring the work area is clear of personal items, debris, and pets prior to the arrival of heavy machinery.
3. Underground Utilities & Private Lines
Public Utilities: We will contact "Nova Scotia Before You Dig" to locate public utility lines (gas, electric, water) before any excavation begins.
Private Lines: The customer is responsible for identifying and notifying us of any private underground lines, including but not limited to: irrigation systems, invisible pet fences, private septic lines, or outdoor lighting wires. HDM Construction is not liable for damage to private lines that were not clearly marked or disclosed by the owner.
4. Our "No-Ruin" Lawn Policy
We utilize specialized equipment and protective ground mats to minimize impact on your property.
While we take every precaution to protect your landscape, the customer acknowledges that excavation is an invasive process. Minor settling of soil or grass discoloration under protective mats may occur.
5. Payment Terms
Payment schedules (deposits and final payments) will be clearly outlined in your individual project contract.

6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, text, and project photos, is the property of HDM Construction and may not be used without written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
HDM Construction is not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from the use of this website or delays caused by weather, equipment failure, or unforeseen geological conditions (e.g., unexpected bedrock).
